The Music Salon

Nestled within the rich heritage of Niven Road, a stone’s throw away from Little India MRT and in the region of the three major arts school of Singapore, NAFA, LaSalle and SotA, The Music Salon is an idyllic space of warmth and elegance within the heart of the city of Singapore. Built in the 1800s, The Music Salon was a house for the wealthy within Singapore, and atop the hill was Lady Sophia Raffles, the second wife of Sir Stamford Raffles, until the time of her departure from Singapore. As such, it has been a home for many-a-wealthy, for its beauty and cosiness makes it an ideal space for a summer home, a getaway to sunny Singapore. The Music Salon furthers this tradition by bringing house concerts and music appreciation programs, as well as allowing others to utilise this space for their important uses, to share the heritage of this Peranakan shophouse with its guests and visitors.
